Fundación Diagrama Intervención Psicosocial is a non-profit organisation that has been assisting vulnerable and socially excluded people since 1991, consistently ensuring the defence and promotion of Human Rights. Its main objective is to promote and develop centres, programmes and research aimed at social prevention, as well as treatment and integration of people at social risk, especially children, families, young people, women and dependants. Through all these areas and activities, last year Fundación Diagrama attended to the needs of over 21,000 people across Spain, as well as close to 11,000 beneficiaries through international projects. The Translation internship will help undergraduate and/or graduate students further cultivate their skills through a real-life work experience. Successful candidates will participate in a broad range of translation and communication-related activities in the framework of projects funded by the European Commission. Tareas principales :
Translating a wide variety of documents related to treatment and integration of people at social risk, especially children, families, young people, women and dependants. Usually, translations will be from Spanish into English, and from English into Spanish as well, corrected in coordination with the tutor. Proofreading documents - either translated by the intern and corrected with the help of the tutor, or translated by others. Supporting the tasks of the Research and Development, Communications departments, in the drafting, editing of new online and offline content.
Perfil:
Knowledge and experience in translation. Specialisation: translation from Spanish into English, or from English into Spanish. Creativity, versatility, high energy, initiative and discipline. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and determination to meet deadlines. The knowledge of French language, and of justice, child rights and social issues would be a plus. Good use of IT. Able to work independently as well as being part of a team. Sharp attention to detail when proofreading. Education/Experience: Undergraduate/postgraduate students of Translation or Modern Languages, and recent graduates.

The internship can also be carried out partially or fully online if the student is not able to travel to Murcia. Daily meetings will be carried out in this case.
